GEorge Langbein
chief executive officer

Over forty-four years of experience in both the government and private commercial industries which featured: management of delivery and selling operations at major commercial (Fortune 500) and government (DoD/Intelligence Community) information technology program offices. With significant expertise in team leadership, organizational development, training, and information technology. 

Holds dual masters degrees in Business (MBA) and Project Management (MSPM); Dual Program Management certifications (DAWIA Level III and PMP); Certified ScrumMaster (CSM); Information Technology Library Foundations Certified (ITILv3) and top government security clearance with previous access to SCI/FSP level credentials.

President & managing director of healthcare consulting

Over twenty-one years as a social worker at Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at both the Pittsburgh and Washington, DC VA Medical Centers and two years experience supporting the Defense Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) Defense Health Agency as a contractor with General Dynamics (GDIT). Clinical experience in poly trauma, medical/surgical, geriatrics, primary care, and women's health. Eight years of program management experience with the Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation New Dawn (OEF/OIF/OND) Programs. Served as lead OEF/OIF/OND program manager for VISN 5, and was a member of national work groups and committees associated with these operational programs.

Through our sub-contractual agreement with General Dynamics, The Brandon Green Management Group is pleased to provide subject matter expertise in support of the Defense Veteran Brain Injury Center (DVBIC). Our talented staff are honored to provide support to the care of veterans impacted by Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Meet our DVBIC team.

 

Dr. lev nevo
clinical outcomes coordinator

Currently serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) at the Defense Veterans Brain Injury Center, focusing on Traumatic Brain Injury clinical outcomes. Part of a team developing strategies for assessing clinical and other health-related outcomes for the Department of Defense (DoD) active duty service members and veterans who have sustained a TBI.

Dr. Nevo holds a Medical Doctorate degree from the North Ossetia State School of Medicine, located in Vladikavkaz, Russia and brings over twenty-five years of experience in evidence-based medicine, knowledge translation and implementation,and research. Brings a wealth of expertise from a background that includes: over twenty years of experience serving as a primary care and consulting physician; medical director; and over fifteen years in project and hospital management, budget coordination, and strategy development.

Other experience Dr. Nevo brings to The Brandon Green Management Group's DVBIC team include: a position of Senior Subject Matter Expert that included overseeing scientific grants and study reports review process for the Congresssionally Directed Medical Research Program of the Department of Defense (DoD) and Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI); team lead for the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the National Institute of Health (NIH) working on a new set of clinical guidelines on cardiovascular disease reduction; and, support for the DoD Defense Center of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury in translation and implementation of knowledge into practice.

 

dr. Qian Luo
Neuroscience Clinician

Currently serving as a Senior Neuroscience Clinician and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Medical Informatics at the Defense Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC).

Dr. Luo earned her PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from the National Key Lab of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning at Beijing Normal University and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health. Past experience includes a faculty position at the Department of Neurosurgery at Saint Louis University and a position at the Defense Health Agency doing research in psychological health, neuro-cognitive mechanisms, suicide prevention, data surveillance, and statistical modeling.

Dr. Luo brings strong expertise in: research on brain mechanisms; brain illnesses; and various cognitive and emotional processes using multi-modal approaches including neuroimaging (Magnetoencephalography/MEG, EEG, fMRI, TMS), genetic, neuropsychological,
computational neuroscience, and machine learning. 
 

dr. joanne gold
senior program analyst

Currently serving as a Senior Program Analyst and liaison to the Armed Services for the Defense Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC). In this position, Dr. Gold enables strategic communication with the Armed Services, facilitates the development of clinical recommendations and products, advances process improvement projects, outreach and strategic messaging to the field and pathway of care optimization efforts, and helps to improve traumatic brain injury (TBI) care across the Department of Defense (DoD).

Dr. Gold holds a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree and is board certified in Geriatric Pharmacy. Prior to Pharmacy school, Dr. Gold obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, and spent two years as a graduate student studying Pharmaceutical Sciences at Hollings Cancer Center performing peptide synthesis and high-throughput drug screening. 

Prior to joining BGMG, Dr. Gold served as a Pharmacist in the Air Force for six years. During this time, Dr. Gold served in diverse settings: directing clinical services and pharmacy operations, managing medication therapy, patient safety, medication safety and process improvement initiatives, and leading contingency operations and inspection preparation.
